About the Teachers




Melanie Kraft

Thanks for visiting our website.  Because my mother is Japanese, I have been interested and involved in ESL my entire life.  After graduating from the University of Michigan, I moved to Japan and was trained as an ESL teacher.  I taught English in Hiroshima to people of all ages, including school children, adults and businessmen.

Currently I am working as an ESL tutor at Oakland Community College and a teacher at ESL and More!  I have taught students from many countries around the world.  I'm looking forward to meeting you and having you join my classes.

Eileen Rande

I have worked with Melanie at Oakland Community College for several years.  When she told me about ESL and More!, I was very interested!

Most of my professional life has been spent teaching and tutoring ESL students in schools and businesses.  I currently work at two local community colleges teaching ESL and TOEFL and assisting students with their academic plans. 

I am looking forward to helping you communicate with Americans, especially in business settings.  Learning English can be fun and rewarding!
